Hurts hit the charts in 2010 following the release of the hugely successful singles 'Wonderful Life' and ‘Stay’.
Their debut album 'Happiness’ was released in August of that year, shooting to the top of the charts across Europe on release, and entering the UK charts at No.4 with over
25,000 sales, achieving the title of fastest selling new band of 2010.
‘Happiness’ has since gone on to sell over 2 million copies worldwide, with No.1’s in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Finland and Luxembourg. The album is now recognized as 16x Platinum and 7x Gold globally.
The band went on tour for nearly two years, selling over 250,000 tickets and have since released 4 subsequent albums, ‘Exile’, ‘Surrender’, ‘Desire’ and ‘Faith’. Completing 2 more World Tours, a No.1 collaboration with Calvin Harris and Alesso, ‘Under Control’, and more recently a No.1 single in Germany, Switzerland and Austria in January 2024 with their ‘Wonderful Life’ rework featuring Luciano.
